Studios milk $10 million in a Torrent Spy suit

Just weeks after Torrent Spy shut down it has been handed over yet another blow. A federal judge has handed the peer-to-peer file sharing site a big blow. The judge has ordered the site to pay a whooping sum of $110 million to Motion Picture Association. The fine is for infringement of thousands of copyrighted film and TV shows.

But, a cloud prevails on whether Motion Pictures Association of America will accept the fine. Moreover the records show that Valence and Torrent Spy principles have filed for bankruptcy.
