New Zealand clinch a thriller!!!
With the series nicely poised at 1-1, New Zealand and England had everything to play for in their 4th game in the Natwest series. England batted first and they dint get off to a good start. They managed 245 with useful contributions coming from Ravi Bopara(58), Owais Shah(63) and Ian Bell(46). New Zealand then went into bat and they were set back by early wickets. Sidebottom bowled well picking up 2 early scalps. Then Scott Styris and How steadied the ship for New Zealand. Styris scored 69 and was given good company by Oram who made 38. But it was all left to the tail enders. Elliot was controversially run out when Sidebottom knocked him down in the follow through. Collingwood appealed and many felt that it was against the spirit of the game. Mills made a great contribution with the bat as he scored 25 of 27 balls. But finally it was left to Gillespie who had to score 2 runs of the last ball. New Zealand won with the help of an overthrow. New Zealand lead the series 2-1 and they wont lose the series from here.
