West Indies won their Twenty 20 encounter against Australia yesterday. Australia were sent into bat when rains arrived. There was a long delay after which the match commenced. It was a 11 over match. Australia had a good start in the form of Luke Ronchi and the IPL orange cap Shaun Marsh.
But they lost their way in the middle and could manage only 97 in their alloted 11 overs. Then came the turn of the Windies to bat. The find in the Test Series Xavier Marshall continued his Test form and took his team to a flyer. From this stage, there were no hickups and West Indies coasted a 7 wicket win in the 10 over. This gives West Indies a great boost for the one day series which starts on Tuesday.
