It was all set for a Sunday finale with Rajasthan Royals taking on the Chennai Super Kings. Chennai were asked to bat first by Warne. Chennai carried their momentum with the bat from the previous game and scored a competitive 164 runs in their alloted 20 overs. Useful contributions came from Raina, Parthiv and Dhoni. Then came the turn of Rajasthan to bat. You couldn't have asked for a better match. The match kept on swinging either way and went on to be a last ball finish. 1 run was required of the last ball and Tanvir finished it off with a boundary. Earlier Yusuf Pathan played a blinder of a knock though he was helped by the Chennai fielders a bit. Warne went on to lift the DLF IPL trophy. Watson was named the man of the series and Yusuf Pathan the man of the match.
