Rafael Nadal vs Roger Federer has become a match which would be worth watching as both of them are playing great tennis. Earlier this year Nadal breezed past Federer to win the French open. This time it was the Wimbledon finals in which both of them met and it was yet another thrilling encounter. Federer went in as favorite because he was the King of Wimbledon as well as Grass court. If Federer would have won this it would have been his 6th straight Wimbledon title giving him the world record. He would have broken Borg's record. But all dreams went in vain for The Swedish as Nadal was too hot to handle. Nadal won the first 2 sets fairly comfortably by a margin of 6-4 in both the sets. Federer made the greatest of comebacks in the 3rd set holding his nerve in the crucial tie break to win it 7-6. The fourth set also saw a tie break but this time Nadal had the upper hand. He missed three championship points and went on to drop the set to Federer. It was two sets all and the 5th set promised a lot. As promised both champs held their serve. Finally Nadal broke Federer's serve to make it 8-7. Nadal held his serve to win the set 9-7 and thus winning the Wimbledon championship.
