Carbon Nanotubes can cause cancer.

It has been reported recently that Carbon Nanotubes like asbestos can be very harmful if inhaled. But you might have a question in mind as to who will sniff a carbon nanotube?? But the fact is that carbon nanotubes can be present in many substances like electrical circuits, to processors, to pharmaceuticals and even face creams, due to their extraordinary strength and unique electrical properties.

It was found out that Carbon nanotubes cause lung cancer when inhaled.
Like Asbestos, the carbon nanotubes are thin and multi walled, and, as is the case for people exposed to asbestos, the cancer takes a while to manifest itself (30-40 years). So its a big question on how the business industry will go to manage this nanotube issue and will have to find a way to ensure that their products are safe.
