The work of orbiter on Mars was affected due to some interruptions by cosmic ray or some other high energy particle. It occurred just before testing the robotic arm that Orbiter was to use for digging. Well the two space crafts are on verge of making history by digging into the surface in search of rich deposits of ice underneath. This will give good evidence for the long lasting question of whether life existed in Mars once.
