As said earlier in this blog, IIM's were going to enforce the quota system from this year onwards. But IIM- Calcutta has had its share of problems in enforcing the OBC quota. The High Court has given a stay order on the enforcement of OBC quota. This means that OBC students of Calcutta need to wait for their admissions in IIT's and IIM's. The centre has now appealed to the Supreme Court to allow admissions for the OBC quota students. So there is chaos in Calcutta regarding IIM admissions this year.
