Shane Warne who is currently captaining the Rajasthan Royals in the IPL is planning to return to the aussie side for ashes 2009. Warne who retired in the previous year's Ashes had retired from all forms of cricket, including the county cricket. Warne's sudden comments have brought the Australian selectors to the limelight. With Australia having problems with spinners Shane Warne might get a chance. It was expected that MacGill would fill the spot created by Shane but he was unsuccessful due to injury problems. Then Brad Hogg was given a run and even he couldn't handle the pressure and eventually announced his retirement. MacGill has now been recalled for the tour of West Indies. Sutherland, the chairman of the ACB doesn't seem to be too keen with Warne's plea. So it is most likely that Shane wouldn't be considered.
